Red Deer River Naturalists Bird Focus Group Walk
Location: Open Creek Dam Campground
Directions: 55027 Hwy 53. Go west of Rimbey on Hwy 53 for 32 km, then south on RR 5-5A. Plan to walk around the reservoir counter-clockwise, starting from the SW day use area (the one with a camp kitchen). Keep right past the Sani Dump to get to that particular day use area. (If you get to the camp office/store or the dam itself, you have gone too far, see map.) We’ll take the trail access near site 42. You should carry bear spray on this walk.
When: August 5, 2023 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Maybe longer.
Host: Chris Olsen
