Hwy 36 Field Trip

Our annual Sandhill Crane trip to Hwy 36/Allliance area will be on Sunday, April 27. We will leave Red Deer at 8:00 AM. Come prepared to carpool and bring food and drinks for the day.

Field Trip to Butcher Creek Natural Area

Meet at Kerry Wood Nature Centre at 10 a.m. Bring a lunch, drink and water footwear. Be prepared to car pool and dress for the weather.

Ya-Ha-Tinda Hike

Birding Field Trip to Calgary

Meet at 8 a.m. at Kerry Wood Nature Centre to carpool to Calgary. We will be visiting Bebo Grove and Carburn Park as well as searching for snowy owls between Red Deer and Calgary. Bring lunch, snacks, drinks. Dress for the weather. Call Judy to register for this event.

Bird Focus Field Trip to search for owl’s nests

This field trip had to be cancelled in March because of fog. Meet at noon at KWNC to car pool south and east of Red Deer to hunt for owl's nest.

Field Trip to Raven Brood Trout Station
