  • Bird Walk at Bower Ponds to Heritage Ranch

    Meet at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre at 1 p.m. for a 1-2 hour bird walk. Today we will walk from Bower Ponds towards Heritage Ranch. Dress for the weather.

  • Bird Walk at Three Mile Bend

    Meet at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre at 1 p.m. for a 1-2 hour bird walk. Today we will walk at Three Mile Bend. Dress for the weather.

  • Bird Walk at Coronation Park

    Meet at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre at 1 p.m. for a 1-2 hour bird walk. Today we will walk at Coronation Park. Dress for the weather.

  • Christmas Bird Count

    Go for a walk and count the birds, or count the birds by your feeders. Contact Judy to let her know where you will be counting so we are doubling up on the birds. There will be a potluck supper at 6 p.m. for participants at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre.

  • Birding Trivia Night

    Come out for a fun-filled evening, "testing" your skills as a birder. This is a board game and we usually play as teams. No experience is necessary. The fun begins at 7 p.m. Call Judy at 403-342=4150 to register.

  • Bird Walk at Kentwood Natural Area

    Meet at 1 pm at Kerry Wood Nature Centre for a 1-2 hour bird walk at the Kentwood Natural Area. Dress for the weather.

  • Bird Focus Trip: looking for owl’s nests cancelled because of fog

    Kerry Wood Nature Centre

    Check back again for the date that this trip will be rescheduled. Join the group for a driving trip, south and east of Red Deer to try to find Great Horned Owl nests. Meet at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre at noon. Bring snacks and drinks. Be prepared to carpool.

  • Bird Focus Field Trip to search for owl’s nests

    This field trip had to be cancelled in March because of fog. Meet at noon at KWNC to car pool south and east of Red Deer to hunt for owl's nest.
