This natural area has trails that lead throughout a forest and lead to the bank of the Red Deer River. The path to the river is steep and very slippery when wet, a walking stick is advised. This natural area has a thick healthy undergrowth which is perfect for Snowshoe Hare and Weasels. This nature walk will include bird identification, plant identification, history of the area, and speaking about the beauty of the natural world.
Recommended items to bring: bug spray, walking stick, comfortable walking footwear, binoculars, water and snacks, sunscreen, camera and any field guide that may interest you.
