Nature Central – Wild Alberta Parklands
The goal of the RDRN Nature Central program is to celebrate the protected areas in Central Alberta and to increase the appreciation, thoughtful exploration, non-consumptive use and ecological understanding of these areas.
Register for our Nature Central winter snowshoeing/walk on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Alberta Parks Open Creek Natural Area. Email epc.rdrn.nature@gmail.com to register. We will arrange a meeting point nearby.
Location: West on Hwy 53 from Rimbey, turn north onto Range Road 51. (Approx 1 hr drive from Red Deer)
The area is predominantly tamarack/black spruce patterned muskeg with some poplar and upland pine forest.
All are welcome, you do not have to be an RDRN member to attend.
