    Count all living things: birds, mammals, insects, flowers in bloom. Phone Judy Boyd at 403-342-4150 to register where you will be counting.

  • May Species Count Potluck Supper

    Kerry Wood Nature Centre 6300 45 Avenue, Red Deer, AB, Canada

    All May Species Count participants  are welcome to attend. Bring food to share, along with your own cutlery, plates and drink. Please call Judy Boyd (403-342-4150) to let her know you will be attending.

  • Monday Birding

    The Bird Focus group meets at Kerry Wood Nature Centre at noon. Be prepared to carpool and bring your own snacks and beverages. Most birding is done from vehicles. Everyone is welcome. This week our tentative destination is to Dry Island Buffalo Jump.

  • Field Trip to Butcher Creek Natural Area

    Meet at Kerry Wood Nature Centre at 10 a.m. Bring a lunch, drink and water footwear. Be prepared to car pool and dress for the weather.

  • Bird Walk at Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary

    Bird Focus Group Changes! Instead of our usual Monday Birding, we will go birding from (approximately) 1:00-3:00 PM. on Sundays. We will be going to a specific site each trip. We will still meet at KWNC. Come prepared to carpool and dress for the weather. September 7: Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary
