Where: Held at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre, 6300 45 Ave, Red Deer, AB T4N 3M4, in the Theatre room.
Conservation Confidential is a compilation of writings that will engage, raise awareness, nurture empathy, inspire change and reshape perspectives on environmental stewardship. Exploring human-nature connections and stark realities, Lorne Fitch calls on us all to safeguard imperilled species and threatened places. He seeks to inspire change through education, motivation and a touch of righteous anger.
Lorne has been a Biologist for over 50 years, working on many issues related to use of land and water. Lorne is a professional Biologist, a retired provincial Fish and Wildlife Biologist, was one of the co-founders of the stewardship initiative Cows and Fish, and a former Adjunct Professor with the University of Calgary.
We will also welcome Ed Karpuk who will unveil the new improved Nature Central website Story Map.
