Guidelines

The Red Deer River Naturalists will provide funding support to non-profit organizations for worthy projects that support the RDRN Mission, Vision and Objectives.

  • RDRN will support funding up to 75% of the total project cost, to a maximum of $5,000.00 per project.
  • Only one application per organization per year will be considered.
  • RDRN will review and deal with applications on a first come, first-considered basis.
  • Project summaries must be provided to RDRN within two months of project completion.
  • Applicants must agree to present, if requested, a project summary at an RDRN board and/or monthly meeting.

RDRN Grants do not fund:

  • Projects undertaken by or in support of for-profit organizations or government agencies.
  • Costs associated with travel, contracts, labour or project administration.
  • Conference or meeting expenses.

    Protect and restore nature to reverse the trend of biodiversity decline and to conserve Central Alberta’s natural heritage.

  • 2.

    Connect people with nature to help build a commitment to life-long stewardship and nature conservation.

  • 3.

    Build capacity and collective voice to encourage sustainable and ethical use of natural resources.

  • 4.

    Lead, engage, train and empower local naturalists.
