It features two man-made ponds\, a regional pathway and numerous\, wildlife and waterfowl to experience.Meet: In the main parking lot at Carburn Park.When: March 22\, 2025 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.\n\n\nAll are welcome\, you do not have to be a RDRN member to attend. We’re an inclusive group that learns from each other\, and birders of all skill levels are welcome!\n\n\nBring your binoculars* and camera/phone. Wear layers and sturdy hiking footwear\, water resistant with ice cleats as required by the season. Some trails are on rough terrain. Distances vary\, but may be up to 5 kms. Carry water and an energy snack. Let Chris know if you have any potential medical issues.\n\n\n*RDRN have two birding binoculars that can be borrowed (first come\, first served) by new participants. DESCRIPTION:NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.\nThere is no Leader for this event.\nRDRN Nature Central Innisfail Winter Walk Sunday March 23\, at 1:00 p.m.\nJoin us for a family-friendly winter walk\, hosted by RDRN Nature Central! \nEnjoy the great outdoors as we explore nature together. Please be prepared for hilly terrain\, which can be challenging for some\, and come ready for an active walk. Please note\, there are no restrooms on-site. \nWinter Walk at Innisfail Natural Area\nDate: Sunday\, March 23\, 2025\nTime: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM\nDirections: From Innisfail go east on Highway 590. The natural area is on the NW corner of the intersection with Range Road 272. There is a small pull-off on Highway 590 about 100 metres west of RR272. From Red Deer\, go south on 30th Avenue to Highway 590. There is a small pull-off on Highway 590 about 100 metres west of RR272. The entrance to the natural area is at: N52-01-36.42 w114-46-15.07 \nWhat to Expect:\nWarm up after the walk with hot chocolate! Be sure to dress warmly for winter conditions. The event will go ahead regardless of snow\, but may be canceled if temperatures drop below -15°C. \nNo Membership Required:\nThis event is open to all – no membership to RDRN is necessary. Hoping to be professional biologists\, they begin their research careers with projects spanning 3 weeks to 3 months.\n\n\nAll are welcome\, you do not have to be a RDRN member to attend.
