DESCRIPTION:TWEETS IN THE TREES – FAMILY NATURE NIGHT\nTUESDAY\, AUGUST 10\, 2021 6:30 – 8:30 pm – ​No registration needed\nRed Deer River Naturalists – Nature Central is teaming up with Nature Alberta and the Kerry Wood Nature Center for a Family Nature Night! This event will be tailored toward kids from the ages of 5-12 but all ages are welcome to participate.\nCome and enjoy the outdoors while learning about local birds in the Gaetz Lake Migratory Bird Sanctuary. This event will be capped at 150 people so please come early (6PM) to register if you want to secure your spot.\nWhat to expect: We will break into groups to complete the different activities. There will be a 40 minute nature walk around the sanctuary to explore the different habitat types and learn what kind of birds are found in each area. A 20 minute take-home craft and a 20 minute talk about the wonders of birds. A Whistle will blow after each time limit to allow for the different groups to switch stations after their allotted time.
