Go on a guided nature walk around the Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary with interpreters from the Kerry Wood Nature Centre and learn about the birds of central Alberta with the Red Deer River Naturalists and Ellis Nature Centre staff!\nNo pets\, please.\nWeather Details: Will run rain or shine – please dress for the weather. In the event of extreme weather\, notice of cancellation will be posted on Nature Alberta Facebook page and in the Facebook Event Discussion.\nRegistration Details: Registration is completed on-site from 6:00 PM – 6:25 PM. DESCRIPTION:Join RDRN/Nature Central for a guided multi-site Hike. \nThe hike will take place at the Bashaw Centennial Nature Trail\, Bashaw Trout Pond and Sittingstone Lake. \nWhen: Sunday\, July 19th\, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. \nDirections: Starting from the Bashaw intersection\, head north on Highway 21\, then make a right turn onto 50 Avenue. Take a left onto 52 Street\, and in a distance of 0.7 km\, make a right turn onto 55 Avenue. The entrance to the site will be located ahead. \nWhat to Bring: Please bring weather-appropriate clothing\, sturdy footwear\, insect repellent\, sunscreen\, hat\, your own snacks and water.\nNo RDRN Membership Required: Everyone is welcome! \nConfirm your attendance by emailing nir.rdrn.nature@gmail.com.
