DESCRIPTION:You are all invited to the Red Deer River Naturalists February Monthly Meeting Speaker Series\n\n\nSpeaker: Brett Bodeux\n\n\nTopic: Monitoring Northern Saw-whet Owl Nest Boxes: Experiences and Highlights of Citizen Science Owl Banders\n\n\nWhen: February 27\, 2025 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.\n\n\nWhere: Held at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre\, 6300 45 Ave\, Red Deer\, AB T4N 3M4\, in the Theatre room.\n\n\nBrett Bodeux has a MSc in Conservation Biology from the University of Alberta. After twelve years in environmental consulting and working as a professional biologist\, he became the Information Coordinator for the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute in 2022. Brett has a lifelong passion for birds of prey\, especially owls\, and he has been monitoring nest sites since 2016. In 2018\, Brett became a raptor bander and now dedicates much of his free time to researching owls.\n\n\nAll are welcome\, you do not have to be a RDRN member to attend.\n\nBrett Bodeux
