DESCRIPTION:Red Deer River Naturalists Bird Focus Group Field Trip  \nWith regrets\, we must cancel the Dry Island Buffalo Jump Provincial Park field trip. The forecast calls for rain and given the nature of the bentonitic soils on the exposed slopes and condition of the road\, it will not be safe to hike in those conditions.  \nWe will instead be walking the River Bend Golf & Recreation Area – Perimeter Trail Rain or shine.\n \nMeet: In the main parking lot  \nNew Location: River Bend Golf & Recreation Area – Perimeter Trail\n \nLocation: CANCELLED Dry Island Buffalo Jump Provincial Park CANCELLED \nWhen: September 30\, 2023 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. \nHost: Chris Olsen \nAll are welcome\, you do not have to be a RDRN member to attend. \nBring your binoculars*\, camera/phone\, bug spray and sunscreen. Wear layers and carry rain gear and a hat as required by conditions. Let Chris know if you have any potential medical issues. \n*RDRN have two birding binoculars that can be borrowed (first come\, first serve) by new participants.
